About Nonprofit Compensation Associates

Nonprofit Compensation Associates, Inc. was formed in 2010 by Bob Orser and Rita Haronian, capitalizing on their combined 75 years' experience producing compensation and benefits surveys with accurate and detailed data. Bob was a founder of The Management Center, which first produced the Fair Pay for Southern California Nonprofits survey in 1978. In 2019, following a 40-year career working with nonprofits, Bob stepped back from full-time involvement, while remaining Publisher Emeritus.

Along with her work on the Fair Pay for Southern California Nonprofits survey, Rita has worked with local sponsoring organizations around the country to produce compensation and benefits surveys for their communities since 2002. She has also produced four surveys for VisionServe Alliance, a national association of nonprofit organizations that provide services to people with vision loss.

Also on the team are Finuala Liberti, Elaine Gordon and Danielle Montague. Finuala conducts research and manages all of our information systems. Elaine manages our relationships with our Southern California survey's regional partners and markets the survey directly, by email and phone, to prospective survey participants. Danielle conducts survey-related research and assists in the production of the survey report.
